Come dinner and lunch, this local option sees few tourists and is alive with action.

Tables spill onto a large courtyard topped by flowering vegetation. Buy a big hunk of meat from the butcher out front, then have it barbequed and served with spice and injera (or you could just eat it raw). Wash it all down with a beer or three.

Enjoy a mild night in the courtyard of 17 17. This local bar serves up beer and basics that are easy on the wallet. It’s a great place to practice your Amharic.
